It’s Alien: Romulus date night. Liza and I are going to go to do the classic dinner and a movie date night, scary aliens edition. Can’t wait.

Today was a hot, muggy day. Unusual for San Diego. Over the last several weeks, my internet service from AT&T has been very unreliable. They finally sent me a new router. I’m going back to Chatmeter work today after a week of surgery. It’s crazy it’s only been a week. We had a layoff, both of my eyes were cut open, and made significant progress with Fiber Club. I guess that shows what happens when I’m not slaved to my desk all the time.

I’m catching up to work from last week while I was in surgery. I’m primarily focused on leaving recommendations for the people that got laid off last week at my company. I feel awful about it, but I hope they can bounce back soon. I’m excited about wrapping up a very complex ticket for Fiber…

Plan is to wrap up some Fiber Club work and go shopping with Liza. I need new jeans, and maybe some sunglasses. I can wear them now. 🙂

My eyes are feeling better. I am really glad I did this. Not having to need glasses is freaking amazing.

I no longer need glasses. My eyes are still recovering, but the operation was a success. I’m very excited for the new quality of life this will bring.

Surgery day 2. Now or never.

Surgery was a little more painful than I anticipated, but went well. It honestly wasn’t that bad. I had a very bad headache immediately after the operation that lasted for about 2 hours, then it went away. I didn’t even take painkillers. Going in for a post-op checkup today. Things are looking good!
