Between the heat and the climbing I tapped out at twenty miles, well short of the lake. No shame in it, just a clear read on where my condition actually stands right now; I&#8217;ll build up to the full route rather than force it. The spotter ran clean on the technical side, though the day&#8217;s trading still closed down one percent, a reminder that working tools and working strategy are two different problems.
