Another great day for World Cup football.
- Norway benched their stars, having already been secured 2nd place, and France did not. The result? Norway 1-4 France, with the 2nd fastest Hat Trick by Dembele. Haaland never played.
- Senegal 5-0 Iraq. I think that makes the highest ever scoring African team at a World Cup and secures their advancement as one of the strongest 3rd place teams.
- Uruguay 0-1 Spain. That match ended with a red card and an altercation. Terribly boring match otherwise. I think the entire world is shocked at how poor the Spanish performance has been.
- Cape Verde 0-0 Saudi Arabia. This result put Cape Verde in 2nd and advance! Saudis were sent packing.
- Egypt 1-1 Iran. Incredibly heart-breaking game. Iran seemed to have won it on minute 92, but the goal was disallowed. So Iran couldn’t ensure the advance, but they’re looking good in 3rd place.
- New Zealand 1-5 Belgium. I mean, the Kiwi goal was good, but they were incredibly outmatched. Overall, a boring match.
