A friend’s daughter turned four today, and the day was built around her. They took over a corner of the park, themed it after Beauty and the Beast, and went so far as to bring in a Belle in the flesh. The girl was overjoyed, which is the whole point of a thing like that. The rest of the afternoon we spent quietly indoors, while Liza went off to a concert with her friends. On the football front the news was split: San Diego FC finally broke through for a win, a lean 1-0 over Dallas, while Toluca went down 3-1 to Cruz Azul. No complaints there. Cruz Azul were the better side, and the scoreline said as much.
