The Canyon arrived today, an Aeroad CFR in Di2 and Dura-Ace, still boxed and waiting to be made whole. Unpacking it brought the usual reckoning: pedals want grease, the computer wants a mount, and there is no water without bottles and cages, no riding after dark without lights. I had budgeted for the machine and forgotten the small necessities that make it useful, which is a lesson I seem to relearn with every new undertaking. Still, the frame is here, and that is the hard part done. A bit of grease is all that stands between the box and the first ride, so grease is the next order of business.
