San Diego finally won something, one to nil over LAFC, and this one was a proper MLS match rather than the Leagues Cup, where they took a few games but are already out. A modest result, but the first that feels like it counts. Elsewhere the campaign continues underground; I’ve pressed into the Caverns in Diablo, closer now to the depths of Hell than to the surface. Tomorrow the descent goes on.
