Went down to Mexico to see my grandmother and meet the woman now caring for her. Both are doing well, and that alone was worth the trip. The drive back was another matter entirely, brutal even in the SENTRI lane, enough that I’m rethinking the whole schedule: leave in the evening, come back at night, and let the border do its worst while I’m not in it. I also picked up a dentist recommendation while I was down there, which I mean to follow up on. Before the day was out I stopped by 99 Ranch for beef, tomorrow is Korean barbecue with friends.
