Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3 is nearly closed, and I intend to finish it before moving on to Moonrise Towers. By my reckoning I am comfortably ahead of the pace needed to finish the game before GTA VI arrives, though that is a race of my own devising and the field is thin. I also set a date with the dentist, an ordinary errand that had been drifting for some weeks and is now done. Less expected, three people reached out to ask whether I have or want a new job. I do not, but it is a fine thing to be remembered.
