Rewatched Godzilla Minus One this evening, and it holds up. Tomorrow I make the trip to Los Angeles for Godzilla Minus Zero, on a true IMAX screen, which is the only size that does these films justice. There is a particular pleasure in a monster movie that takes its grief seriously, and this one does; the ruin lands because the people under it do. I am looking forward to tomorrow more than I usually admit.
